Berlin Drag Festival 2026

There are festivals for music. Festivals for food. Festivals for film.
This one's for drag.
On 23 August 2026, Berlin Drag Festival lands at Festsaal Kreuzberg for a full day celebrating drag in all its forms, from the artists commanding the spotlight to the communities building queer culture every day.
Expect headline performances, emerging talent,, independent makers, street food, workshops and thousands of people coming together under one roof. Less theatre. More festival.
Because drag has never existed in isolation.
It's fashion. Protest. Comedy. Club culture. Music. Performance art. Politics. Joy. Sometimes all at once.
Berlin has long been one of Europe's queer capitals, yet surprisingly it has never had a large-scale festival dedicated entirely to drag culture. Until now.

More Than A Stage

The main stage might be the headline, but it isn't the whole story.
Throughout the venue you'll find the Queer Creators Village, a curated marketplace bringing together queer-owned businesses, artists, illustrators, designers, vintage sellers and independent brands from across Germany. Think less souvenir market, more snapshot of the people shaping queer culture right now.
Outside, food traders, cocktails and community spaces keep the energy moving between performances.
The idea is simple.
Arrive for your favourite drag artist.
Stay for everything else.

A New Generation Of Festivals

Berlin Drag Festival isn't trying to recreate what already exists.

This isn't a seated theatre show.

It isn't a nightclub.

It isn't a Pride parade.

It's something in between.

A space where someone can discover their first drag performance, meet local artists, support queer businesses, dance in the sun, buy work directly from independent creators and spend an entire day inside queer culture without needing to leave the site.

The festival is designed around wandering. Watching. Meeting people. Finding something unexpected.

Why Now?

Drag has never been more visible.

Across television, social media and nightlife, audiences have fallen in love with performers whose creativity extends far beyond lip-syncing. But visibility isn't the same as infrastructure.

Independent performers still need stages.

Queer businesses still need customers.

Community still needs physical spaces.

Berlin Drag Festival exists because culture deserves somewhere to gather.

Not through an algorithm.

In real life.

Built By The Community

Berlin Drag Festival is produced by That Gay Creation, a Berlin-based queer culture platform creating festivals, nightlife experiences and collaborations that bring people together through creativity and community.

Everything starts with the same question:

Would we genuinely want to spend our Sunday here?

If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't make the programme.
